Jessica Haggans

Jessica took the long road to finding her true calling, and now that she's found it, she's thrilled to be making a career doing the thing she loves most. Raised on Stanford's campus in Palo Alto, Jessica's family relocated to the East Coast as she entered high school, which is when she first began experimenting with hair. She gave her friends bright shades of punk rock haircolor and experimented with relaxing techniques, but it was always "just for fun." After high school, she went on to study psychology at James Madison University, but she craved more creativity. She moved back west and transfered to San Francisco's Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising studying Product Development. Eventually she had her own clothing line, but she still didn't feel like she had found her true passion.

Eventually, it occurred to her that she'd felt the most creatively liberated in high school putting pink streaks in her friends' hair. Suddenly, becoming a stylist seemed obvious.

Jessica has always been obsessed with the craft of intelligently designed cuts and color. She's inspired by the cuts and shades that make people look their best, and she takes great satisfaction in honing her ability to deliver and execute her vision, so she's excited for the opportunity to apprentice with such a great team of stylists at the Barber Lounge. She loves being an artist, and working in an industry that allows her to be surrounded by other artists, art galleries and openings, music, and musicians is a dream come true.
