Raising a glass (or two) to San Francisco...
...Armed with eye patches and a copy of Eggers' latest, Zeitoun, we bus back to the SoMa neighbourhood (apparently every town has one) to pay a well-earned visit to the Barber Lounge. The upscale barbershop and hair salon also operates as an art gallery and hosts parties and DJ nights, but I was there for an ultra relaxing 45-minute hot towel shave courtesy of a sure-handed fellow named Cornelius. The complimentary wine and beer for customers is also a nice touch.
Rendering me silky smooth and slightly comatose, it was the perfect end to an overindulgent San Francisco vacation, where I not only left my heart, stomach and liver but a bit of stubble as well.
