The Barber Lounge - San Francisco's best-kept secret
The Barber Lounge erases everything. Fire your current hairstylist, esthetician and masseur because BL's legion of consummate professionals render this best-kept San Francisco secret an Elysium of comfort, care and splendor.
The Barber Lounge is what every other salon/spa aspire to be. The sprawling 5,400 square foot luxury loft out shines its moniker with tasteful style, smart mid-century finishes, fabulous furnishings and miles of contemporary artwork. A delightful surprise was the old-fashioned barbershop (complete with vintage barber pole) set within the vastness of the Barber Lounge's total salon experience.
BL proprietor, Greg Griffin and interior designer John Lum left nothing untouched. I'm sure Louie: the ever present French Bull Dog contributed a bark and sniff as well.
The menu of services Bl offers is infinite. My day of sexiness began with the luscious Oscar, whom - after a scalp massage and hot towel treatment - gave me the best haircut and highlight tint I've had in years!
The adorable mani-pedi artist, Hoang paid extra attention and care to my horse hooves and chicken claws (my feet and hands are a constant wreck). Bless his heart.
It's been years since I shaped my eyebrows, but beautiful Jennifer, the esthetician, gave them a stellar comeback with her custom brow wax.
...I never get facials. But Jen put me at ease and taught me a personalized skin care regiment as she performed her delicate signature facial treatment.
Hot rock massage therapist Mark got me stoned with an intensive focus on the pebble knots in my back and feet. A saint.
I walked in a lump of coal, but left a twinkling diamond! Pamper with Pride!
